Edwards, Colo. • April 18, 2012 – The annual Can Do Multiple Sclerosis Jimmie Heuga Memorial Golf Tournament will be held Monday, June 11, 2012, at Colorado National Golf Club in Erie, CO. All proceeds from the tournament will fund Can Do MS’s lifestyle empowerment programs across North America—programs that help people living with MS and their support partners transform challenges into possibilities. "We are excited to honor Can Do MS founder Jimmie Heuga at his alma mater for a day of golf this year!” says Maren Cerimele, Special Events Manager, Can Do MS. “Over the past few years, we have hosted the tournament in the Vail Valley, but felt relocating the event to partner with Colorado National Golf Club would be a great way to celebrate Jimmie’s legacy as a University of Colorado Boulder Alumni.”
Entry fees are $275 per person or $1,000 per foursome. Fees include green and cart fees with course GPS, breakfast and lunch, player gift bags, practice balls at Colorado’s #1 rated practice facility, five dollar gift certificate to Colorado National Golf Shop and a chance to win great prizes such as a Rolex watch. The Luncheon and Awards will take place at 2:00 p.m. at Masters Restaurant after the four person scramble. Corporate team, hole and prize sponsorships for this fundraising event are available on a first-come basis. To register to play in the tournament or become a sponsor, please visit www.mscando.org/golf or contact Maren Cerimele at Can Do Multiple Sclerosis—970-926-1292 or mcerimele@mscando.org.
