We support Can Do MS because they help people every day. Research for a cure is great, but we also feel it is important to help people living with multiple sclerosis live a full life. We are big proponents and supporters of lifestyle programs and are pleased to help Can Do MS support scholarships for people to attend programs.

    Posted Monday, November 8, 2010

News from the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers (CMSC)

Parsippany, NJ - Neurology Reviews,® a leading clinical news magazine for the neurology community, recently launched an interactive, multimedia microsite-Multiple Sclerosis Comprehensive Care-on the Neurology Reviews website at www.ms.neurologyreviews.com. This dedicated online resource for multiple sclerosis (MS) professionals will focus on the comprehensive approach to MS care. The microsite is sponsored by Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation.

"The Multiple Sclerosis Comprehensive Care microsite supports the multidisciplinary team approach to MS care by offering healthcare professionals a range of educational material and professional and patient education tools in an interactive, multimedia format," said Glenn Williams, editor of Neurology Reviews.

The microsite features video interviews and panel discussions on the comprehensive care model. The interviews were conducted at the CMSC meeting in San Antonio and are endorsed by the CMSC. Leading MS specialists Stuart Cook, MD, Mark Gudesblatt, MD, Ben Thrower, MD, Corey Ford, MD, PhD, and Christopher Bever, MD, MBA, share their expertise and viewpoints on developing the optimal comprehensive care model-with or without walls.

Additional features of the microsite include digital editions (an electronic publication with interactive features), patient handouts, professional articles, self-assessment quizzes in a digital edition format, and a resource section.

June Halper, APN-C, MSCN, FAAN, Executive Director of the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers (CMSC) explains, "The comprehensive care approach to MS involves a number of healthcare professionals with expertise in the field of MS, including neurologists, medical specialists, primary care physicians, MS nursing professionals, social workers/case managers, psychologists, and physical, occupational therapists and speech and language pathologists."
