The 23rd Annual Alpen Wine Fest held Sept. 4, 2011 in the Village at Squaw Valley was a huge success and raised $19,000 for Can Do MS, a national nonprofit organization and innovative provider of lifestyle empowerment programs for people with MS and their support partners.
More than 550 participants attended the event. Each participant received access to unlimited wine tasting from 40 California and Nevada vineyards, live music from The Jackie Landrum Band and the Tristan Selzler Trio, a silent auction and a raffle. Event proceeds will fund Can Do MS’s lifestyle empowerment programs for people with MS and their support partners, such as Can Do MS’s one-day JUMPSTART Program hosted in Eureka, CA on Oct. 1, 2011. This program available at no charge to participants because of fundraising events such as Alpen Wine Fest.
Special thanks to Alpen Wine Fest sponsors, Uncorked at Squaw and The Village at Squaw Valley.
