Squaw Valley, Calif. • August 23, 2010 – The 22nd Annual Alpen Wine Festival (http://www.mscando.org/calendar-of-upcoming-events/22nd-annual-alpen-wine-festival/) will be held Sunday, Sept. 5 2010 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Village at Squaw Valley (http://www.squaw.com) to benefit Can Do Multiple Sclerosis, a national nonprofit organization and innovative provider of lifestyle empowerment programs for people with MS and their support partners. The $40 donation to Can Do MS includes a commemorative crystal wine glass, tastings from more than 40 vineyards, live music and a silent auction.
Last year the Alpen Wine Festival raised more than $25,000 for Can Do MS’s lifestyle empowerment programs. Fundraising events like Alpen Wine Festival allow Can Do MS to continue to bring lifestyle empowerment programs to northern Calif. for people living with MS.
Tickets for the event will be available at 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 5 2010. The majority of wines served at the event can also be purchased at Uncorked at Squaw in the Village at Squaw Valley.
