I appreciated Janet DeClark's lecture regarding cognitive changes in MS. Regardless of whether changed occur due to age or MS, Janet offered helpful suggestions on how to manage such changes. She did so in a sensitive, caring way.

2014 CMSC (The Consortium of MS Centers) Annual Meeting Recap!
by Jennifer Myers, Director of Marketing and Communications

    Yee-Haw!

Can Do MS and a number of our Programs Consultants made our way to the 2014 annual meeting of the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers from May 27th - May 30th in Dallas, TX. The Can Do MS team had an amazing time networking and learning more about our partners in the MS community.CMSC-Photo-Collage

We were able to make some great connections with many health care professionals who were not only interested in the programs we offer, but also the topics we cover in our in-person and online programs. We also had a chance to connect with the MS Coalition and National MS Society, both amazing organizations we continue to collaborate with on an ongoing basis. Together, we are all doing some incredible work to reach more people with MS.

As Thursday rolled around, we were so excited to attend the Clay Walker concert as part of the conference. Clay was our 2013 Honoree at our Autumn Benefit event in New York City last year. It was great to see him again and we look forward to collaborating with him in the future with his organization, Band Against MS. Check out Clay’s speech at our 2013 Autumn Benefit, by clicking here.

It was great to hang out and meet with everyone from all the other organizations and companies during the four days: MS Coalition, National MS Society, MSAA, Multiple Sclerosis Foundation, Biogen, Genzyme, Teva Neuroscience, EMD Serono, Novartis, Bioness, Bayer, Opexa, Medtronic and Questcor.

Overall, we ended the conference with many new contacts, new ideas, new relationships as well as a lot of interest in our programs.

Thanks to everyone that came by our Can Do MS booth to chat and learn more about the free programs we offer. We are working on getting back to everyone that requested more information on Can Do MS.

We can’t wait for next year – CMSC 2015!
